Here are some must-have apps you should download when studying in Singapore.
🚶♀️Getting Around
Citymapper: Shows MRT routes, bus options, travel time, and step-by-step directions.

MyTransport.SG: The official transport app by the Land Transport Authority (LTA). It provides real-time bus arrival timings, traffic updates, and MRT information.

Singabus: A simple and reliable app that shows real-time bus arrival timings at nearby bus stops.

SimplyGo: Allows you to top-up and track your MRT/ bus travel expenses when using contactless bank cards or travel cards.

🚗 Transportation
Sometimes you may need a faster or more convenient way to travel, especially late at night or when public transport is limited.
Grab/Gojek/TADA: Ride-hailing service that lets you compare prices and book rides quickly.



Anywheel/ HelloRide: A bike-sharing app that allows you to rent bicycles around the city for short trips. (can use to go East Coast Park!!)

Some official apps help you manage important documents and services while living in Singapore.
Singpass: Singapore’s national digital identity app used to access government services, sign documents, and verify your identity securely.

MyICA Mobile: Allows users to access immigration services and check pass-related information such as visa and immigration records.

ScamShield – Helps block scam calls and suspicious SMS messages.

Microsoft Authenticator – Used for secure login verification for many platforms, especially school or work accounts.

Telegram – Very popular in Singapore for group chats, student communities, and announcements.
